Periodic Table was the first application I wrote as a sophomore in college. At first it started as a reference for me but eventually I decided to submit it for approval in the hiptop catalog. It (along with a few other apps) helped spawn their own category of Study Aids.

Periodic Table taught me what it took to store and load around 2400 lines of string and float data on an embedded device. Everything from Crystal Structure to Thermal Conductivity, it’s all there. The application was released just in time for the end of school in May 2006. It’s definitely not too pretty but it was quite useful.
